iWEEK Contests

My iVIDEO

The Division of International Student & Scholar Services invites international students at Georgetown University to enter submissions for My iVIDEO, a new addition to Georgetown's annual Intercultural Week (iWEEK).  All students are eligible to submit one video story entry, which must be no more than 4 minutes in length.  The video should capture the international student's experience in the United States, highlighting expectations about life at Georgetown prior to arrival, the way the experience has changed him/her or his/her world view, and any funny anecdotes about culture shock/culture clash.  The top three videos will be screened at iPARTY on Friday, April 4th.  STA Travel, the world's largest student travel organization, will award the grand prize winner a travel voucher in the amount of $350.  Interested students should complete an application form on our website (http://oip.georgetown.edu/isss/iVIDEO.pdf) and submit the form and DVD to OIP (2nd Floor, Poulton Hall) by March 31st.  Students who are unable to burn a DVD for submission should contact Giovanna Ubillus (gu3@georgetown.edu) for instructions on file transfer.  Students may also contact Giovanna with other inquiries relating to the contest.

Views from Abroad

Views from Abroad is a newsletter for returned study abroad students and those students interested in international educational exchange.  It is a medium for students to reflect on their time abroad and share their experiences with the rest of the Georgetown community through writing and photography. Copies will be distributed around campus throughout the week.
