Since the first students arrived nearly twenty years ago,
the McGhee Center has been sending its alumni on to a wide range of
careers in the private sector, diplomacy, economic development, academia,
cultural affairs, and journalism. Many of our students return to
Turkey later in life to work, study, or travel, bringing family and
friends with them. The McGhee Center is recognized internationally
as playing an important part in introducing U.S.-based students to Turkey
and in advancing scholarly and professional contacts in the wider
European, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean regions. With the
McGhee Center at the fore, Georgetown University is now creating a
worldwide network of young leaders in scholarship, business, the arts,
and international affairs working in Turkey and the Eastern
Mediterranean.
McGhee Center students and faculty share a special
connection both to one another and to a place that has changed our
lives. If you are a McGhee Center alumnus/alumna, please stay in
touch by telling us what you are doing now and where to find you.
