Homemade Villa Recipes
It is always a great pleasure to sit in the dining room at the Villa Le Balze, not simply because the food is unfailingly delicious, but because it is inevitably alive with voices, conversations, laughter; it rings with engaging, provocative, satisfying talk. But it is also always as great a pleasure to go downstairs to the kitchen, to watch first Clara, then Sandra and Sahna, and now Sandra and Eleonora skillfully preparing the food that will soon turn up on the tables of the dining room. These cooks are like artists, like poets, and painters who practice a craft with care, generosity, and pride.
Their cooking is an act of love: they take great joy in preparing their wonderful lunches and dinners and in the contributions their well wrought meals make to the salutary powers of Le Balze. The Villa and all who have stayed there have been blessed by their work.

They have, through their skill and generosity, brought great joy to countless visitors at the Villa.
