Springtime in Florence and Assisi

Trace the transition in northern Italy from a medieval to Renaissance world. Centered at the Villa Le Balze, this tour includes a day trip to Siena and San Gimignano, and a weekend in Assisi to encounter the legacy of Francis, the great medieval saint.

The tour will be directed by two longtime friends of the Villa: Michael J. Collins, Ph.D., Professor of English; and Penn Szittya, Ph.D., Professor of English.
