Registration
for Spring 2012 Graduate|MBA|Undergraduate|SCS
The
Office of the University Registrar is responsible for enabling
students to register for courses in a timely and efficient way.
All undergraduate students at Georgetown should pre-register online
through MyAccess and
may use the following resources to aid their decision-making:

November 7-19 |
Pre-Registration
with MyAccess begins
at 12:01AM. Pre-Registration in person begins at 9:00AM. Engage in a conversation with your advisor to
plan the semester and to discuss your degree plan.
Review your academic and biographic information and
review your record for financial, immunization, immigration,
or other blocks. Students with a registration block
cleared after November 18th may register during Completion. If
permission is required for a course, please use the Permission
of Instructor form. |

November 17 |
Deadline
for Georgetown College students
to submit schedule with MyAccess to
your advisor. If your advisor does not use MyAccess to
Pre-Register, you will need to submit a Confirmation
of Advisement form. |

November 19 |
Deadline
for all
other students to submit schedules via MyAccess to
their advisors. If your advisor does not use MyAccess
to Pre-Register, you will need to submit a Confirmation
of Advisement form. |

December 3 |
Pre-Registration Results
with MyAccess become
available. If you are not accepted for the number of classes
you requested, please continue to Completion. |
| Pre-Registration Completion |
December 8-10 |
Pre-Registration
Completion begins with MyAccess.
If you have difficulty or don't use MyAccess come to Pre-Register
in-person at the Office of the University
Registrar on December 8 or December 9. Confirmation
of Advisement from
your advisor and dean are required to initiate registration. Registration will be closed during the final exam period and reopen the day after exams end. Pre-registration completion continues December 21st. |
| Payment |
January 9 |
Deadline
for bill pay for all students.
Late payment fees will be applied after January 11th by the Office
of Student Accounts. |
New Student Registration |
January 11 |
New student registration ends at 5pm, January 11th. Late registration fees of $100 will be charged to any student who registers after January 11th. |
| Add/drop |
January 11-20 |
Add/drop
with MyAccess begins during your scheduled time. Completed
paper forms may be
returned to the Office of the University
Registrar during business hours. Students who initiate
course registration after January 11th will be charged an $100 late registration fee. The 100% refund period ends on January 24th. The
refund credit will be calculated from the date that the student's Dean is notified in writing. |
- MyAccess services
require a NetID and password. See the University Information
Services Help Desk or University Registrar if you do not have
this information.
- "Permission required" courses
will require that you complete a Course
Permission Form.
Undergraduate students
must submit
this form
and
an
outline of
study to their
advisor
and Dean for approval. Registration for tutorials
or graduate credit courses require faculty and Dean's approvals.
- Students are expected to
request the schedule approved by their academic advisor. Deans
reserve the right to require changes if, in the Dean's judgment,
the student
deviates from curricular guidelines. Students must check their
email regularly; if a scheduling change occurs, the student
will
be notified.
- Check the official schedule of classes to confirm courses, times, and rooms just before the start of classes. Some departments make last-minute meeting time and/or classroom changes.
- On the first Wednesday of the semester, classes follow a regular Monday schedule.
- Students with disabilities
should contact the Office
of Learning and Disability Support Services to receive appropriate
registration assistance.
- For Georgetown students
who intend to register for a consortium course or consortium
students who intend to register for a Georgetown course, please
review this information for Consortium Students.
