About
the Consultant Pool
The
National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) maintains
a pool of consultants
that includes researchers, evaluators, and
providers of training, technical assistance or consultation.
Their expertise
relates to cultural and linguistic competence in a broad range
of health,
mental
health,
education and human service arenas. Consultants have experience
at the local, state, regional, national, and international
levels.
The NCCC
uses a comprehensive application process to identify each consultant's
areas of expertise. Applicants are carefully screened including
interviews with at least two references.

The NCCC
acts as a broker attempting to match consultation needs with
appropriate consultants. Specific details related to the consultation
(e.g. fees and logistics) are negotiated directly with the
consultant. The NCCC does not incur costs for these consultations.
