Wins APEX 2007 Grand Award
The National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) is pleased to announce that it is the recipient o f
one of three APEX
2007 Grand Awards for websites of small, non-profit organizations from Communications Concepts, Inc. (Communications Concepts, Inc. helps publishing, PR and marketing professionals improve publications and communications programs through a series of focused services.)
APEX 2007 is the nineteenth annual awards program recognizing excellence in publications work by professional communicators. APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.
The judges noted that "Many of the award-winning entries in this and earlier APEX competitions are classic examples of good ideas, imaginatively executed, despite limitations due to tight budgets, limited resources and small staff" (p. 2, Writing that Works, the Business Communication Report). The successful NCCC website is a collaboration between NCCC faculty and John Richards of the MCH Group, Health Policy Institute within the Georgetown Public Policy Institute.
